Hello, I’m Samantha Wilkins, the proud principal of Wilkins Dance School. With over 25 years of teaching experience, dance has been my lifelong passion. I started my journey at the age of three, dancing until I was sixteen, when I realised that my true calling was not just to perform but to teach and share the joy of dance with others.
A School That Has Grown with Passion
Wilkins Dance School began as a Ballroom, Latin, and Sequence dance school. Over time, we evolved, introducing new styles and embracing the ever-changing world of dance. Today, we specialise in Cheer Dance and an exciting new style called All Nations, which brings together influences from around the world, making dance an inclusive and vibrant experience.
We teach students from as young as two years old to our oldest dancer at 84! Our classes cater to children, adults, and dancers of all levels. Whether you’re looking for a fun way to keep fit, a new hobby, or the chance to compete at a high level, we have something for you.
Our Growing Community
We started our journey in Gosforth, and as our school grew, so did our ambitions. Four years ago, we expanded to Great Park Community Centre, where our classes have been a huge success. This expansion has allowed us to bring dance to even more people, fostering a welcoming and energetic dance community.

I’m incredibly proud of the talented and dedicated teachers who help make Wilkins Dance School the success it is today.
• Lauren has been with us since she was seven years old. She has won multiple titles in the competitive dance world and is now a fully qualified dance teacher, passing on her experience to the next generation of dancers.
• Georgia started dancing with us at just three years old and has gone on to win five British titles. Her talent and passion for dance shine through in her teaching.
Together, we form a strong, supportive, and experienced team, always striving to bring out the best in every student.
